Hey Guys,

I've got a 93 SC400 and one of the fusible links under the hood is blown. It doesn't appear to just "pull out". Can someone tell me how to remove this and can I purchase this at an autoparts or is it dealer only? Thanks for your help everyone!!!

First off what link popped, And what made it pop. Those don’t just pop for no reason.

My wife put a battery booster on the wrong terminals, that is what blew it. I just need to know if I can pull it out and replace it by going to an auto parts or is it a dealer only item. Is there a trick to pulling them, I don't want to put pliers on it but do not have enough room to grab it with my fingers. Again, thanks for any help you can provide!!!

Most of the time those are D.O.I. Get one from Lexus and see if there is a hole drilled through contacts of the link. If there is. YOu will need to pull the j/b and remove the bolt and then pull it out. I know Toyotas when this has happened (my salesman love doing it) it will pop some of the other smaller fuses some times. Good luck.
