Try take rubbing compound and use some elbow grease. Afterwards, use paint polish and do the same

This problem appears to be an incompatibility reaction with some cleaners vs. the clearcoat used on this wood.

I have tried a variety of fixes for this. Compound works to some extent. If your keeping the car, I'd consider removing all the wood (get a manual if you don't have one) and getting it refinished.

I got the wood back to looking glossy again by using Meguires clearcoat bodyscrub to remove all the white haze and then following up with clear plastic polish.
