Dumb question???

On the console I have a switch indicating ECT PWR... My owners manual is vague on what this actually does. Any answers out there to a novice question? Thanks in advance!

It changes the shift pattern of the transmission to a more "agressive" pattern....IE revs the engine higher before it shirfts. I keep mine in Power mode.
