Default An SC400

I am looking at this car.

Do you think this car was involved in an accident by looking at the hood and front bumper?

The car is an 1996 SC400 with 123K ml. The guy asked $6K. The audio is dead due the a broken amplifier and there is some noise in the engine. Is it easy to replace the amplifier?

How do you think about the price and the car?

Can't really say. The bumper is plastic the hood and fenders are metal. The paint on the urithan can fade easier than the paint on the metal.

Just looks faded, but if you are going to spend $6k have a professional check it out before you buy.

Is an SC300 manual much better than an SC400 with regard to drivability? Can some comment on cons and pros?

Why dont you check to see if the vin numbers are still on the hood? SC3 vs Sc4 is discussed all over this forum but in short go sc3 for performance and stick with sc4 for a good daily driver. If you want something more in depth search fo it. I have owned both sc3 5sp (100% stock) and sc4, I like my sc4 better because its no fun to row gears in a slow car.
