Is it a long process to change out the headlights? One of mine were burnt out this morning and I had a set of the 9006 "hyper blue bulbs" laying around the house. Is it a pain in the *** to do?

Hi Johnny:
It depends on which one babe. The passenger side is easy as there is space for your hands to get in behind it. The Driver side can be a bit harder as the battery is right in there just behind the module so you have to pull out the battery (just loosen it and move it out of the way) to get access. My wife has small hands and she did it for me without moving the battery. We put some KY jelly on the fixtures so that the next time we have to change them it will be easy.
That KY sure comes in handy outside of the bedroom.
I replaced mine with plasma blues that look like HIDs but are not. They are made by PIAA I think. Nice bulbs. This should not be too hard an operation.
Counterclockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten.

Once again, thanks for the info. I am not mechancial at all and this kinda info really helps me out. I am going to try and get this done after work with the precious little daylight that this Michigan weather grace's us with.

The blue 9006 are a bad idea. They draw too much current and therefor burn your harness. Hopefully you won't find this out in the bad way. I recommend the super white ones from PIAA, they're not blue, they're white color.
My friend had these in his Subaru for a year and then one day both of his lights went out and when he pulled over and checked his harness was melted.

yeah, I got the upgraded harness with the lights too, so I should be in good shape. What type of bulb is the one next to the low beam, almost seems like a driving light or something

Those would be the city lights, bulb #194. I'll tell ya now, taking out the driver side bulb-194 is a *****! Definitely take out the battery, makes the job a lot easier (and a lot less bloody)

Here is the PIAA web page for these bulbs....

In my 300M I am running Plasma Industries Plasma HIDs which are really 9006's, 55W, and a bit more blue in color. They are nice too. Also cheaper in cost than the PIAAs.
The Plasma website is...

Enjoy.
