Buying my first Sc. Things too look for?
I found an awesome deal for a 300. And I'm allready approved for the loan, but before signing anything. I would like to know what to look for as far as wear. Things that might usually break over time. It has 154,000 miles on the clock and is a 92. took it for a test drive seemed to drive great and smooth shifting . Only thing i kinda noticed was a slight whine from the power steering belt, pretty normal for the age? I'm a big honda man so brakes and that I have a good clue on. Thnx for any help.

Theres MANY threads that have been made asking basically the same question...
the whining is probably because the Powersteering is leaking... normal stuff...

its 4,495.00 . I currently own a 93 civic that I plan on selling to pay most of the car off with. I'll look for leakage from the power steering. And if I recall one gauge light did not work. But that link explains everything. Thank you very much. I hope to become a very productive member of this forum.

Make sure everything is in working condition (everything mechanical, all instruments etc). If you overlook something it'll come back and bite you in the ***. check all VIN stickers on the car (door jams, fenders, rear and front bumper etc). don't remember exactly where all of them are but if they're missing most likely the car has had body damage/replacement.
If you're in a position where you can sell the civic before buying an sc, that's probably your best bet. something is bound to break on you. and repairs are a pita.

well I took it into Lexus to be checked over . that was a nice bill. good god. lol. But that comes with owning a Lexus. But everything is good. A couple of small things are noted the mirror doesn't totally untint when you hit the button. All cluster lights work and The belt noise goes away after 30 seconds. In the end I'm going to get to know you guys a lot better. Because I purchased the car. Here are some pics. Thnx for the helpful hints.
