You did a good job though. I remember when I removed the emblems from my 97 SC it took me about 30 minutes in all to get them all off. I used soapy water and a old Marriott Hotel room entry card..

HOOOOOLD up there homey. Before you stick that stuff on go and get 3M ADHESIVE PROMOTER wipe pads. They look like those stridex face wipes in a little package. THEN put the 3M tape on.

That's what they use to stick body kits on..... it makes the 3M tape bond 100% with the surface. That's all it is made for is 3M tape.

..........I've seen it hold a gallon of paint to a metal bar with a piece of 3M tape between the two....

The only bad thing about the 3M mounting tape is that it can be so pricey! i was thinking like 3 dollars max and i walk over and it's $7.49.... i couldn't believe it but i guess that's right, i just don't see how

and O.L.T. i did that exact thing just to make sure they are stable

Did you not use a hair dryer to heat them up first? and i used goo gone while i was taking them off to loosen it up.

there is some stuff called m600 wax and grease remover. if you use that and then use a very thin plastic putty knife the emblems will come off in about 5 seconds each. The wax and grease remover will then clean off all the leftover glue from the paint and clean it for the next emblem or replacement. There is also some stuff you can get that if when you took the emblem off it left a pretty even amount of glue (3m tape) on the back of the emblem you just put it on the emblem and it resticks like new. you can get all of this stuff at your local auto paint supply store. like API, I.F, Kustom Shop.....

Nope, no hair dryer here. Just the card and soapy water.

Well i tried that but the dental floss just straight up broke i guess because of the heat and friction...

If you would have tried the hair dryer first i bet it would have made a difference on the time it took for you to get them off... and instead of the card i used a silly puddy knife and instead of soapy water i used goo gone
