Hello, and Advice/Tips needed.
Hey All,
I'm Joel and i'm currently interested in purchasing a 1992 Lexus SC300. I'll be very grateful if you experienced SC300/400 owners could advice/warn me about the common problems that are associated with this car, and what are the pros i must look out for.
The car runs real well. Its really smooth for a 15 year old car. The power and responsiveness is still there. The body work is pretty good. Infact, its too good to be true. However i'm aware that there are some inherited problems with these cars, which only surface after constant driving, and aren't prominent enough when you take the car for a test drive. Stuff like the many electronic gadgets that the car has. Should i show concern about all these gadgets working well after 15 years?
Also, could you guys advice me on the type of tires i should get for this car, as the current "new" tires which are on the car dont look very promising.
Lastly, i'm also looking at a 2000 VW Passat 2.8l V6. How does this car compare to the SC300?

P.S, It would be real great if you guys could tell me the performance figures for this SC300. Stuff like the HP,Torque, and 0-60 time.
