Let me tell you a funny story.
My wife and I went up to Barcelona's in Scottsdale a few weeks ago. It's a very high end bar/club/restaurant. You see lambos and ferraris parked out front all the time.
So I pull up in my SC to the valet. The valet recognized that the car was significantly modded. When I get out, he said "hey, that motor is not stock is it?" I said "nah, it has a 1JZ twin turbo in it." He then started talking about his turbo Supra and all the mods he did to it. Pushing 450hp or something like that.
Well when he finally gets in, he puts it in first, revs it and stalls it
Right in front of the line. I just shook my head. WTF would trust their lambo with these dumasses is beyond me.
I'll be parking myself next time I go.

lol true, but to me, it was a free car and a $3000 in mods fun toy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but SC's aren't all that rare right? Just curious why threads are started because one was in a VW commercial for all of 4 seconds? Now a car I have my "hopes and dreams" invested in is my 71 camaro RS, my 67 chevelle 300 convertable (currently motorless/trannyless) and my soon to be owned 86' 911 turbo. (whale tail and canary yellow) That is what I can't wait to get back to the states to. I don't think I would own a SC in the states. Too many people get the wrong status symbol from it...sorry. Just my 2c.

sc's in america are a lot more rare than soarers elsewhere in the world. Add to the fact that people have no idea what you may have under the hood, and you can very tastefully mod them, and they won't look outdated. There are people who don't mod them with good taste in mind, but that's not my problem. I love my SC.

Its a 92-94 SC400.
The SC is just a damn good looking car and while they are not some extremely rare car, you don't see alot of them (maybe depends on geographic location), most people dont know what my car is or even how old it is. Alot of people think its some new model lexus. When a 12-15 year old car can be mistaken for a new design, you know you have a timeless design. Plus accept it or not, this car has a ton of potential performance wise, whether is going with a tried and true 1jz/2jz turbo setup or exploring the magnificent and super engineered 1uz.
