My rims and wheel may look but they don't stick out... Maybe I should not use the term Mexican style, but if you have ever been to Mexico you will see alot of young Mexicans running their rims and tires outside their wheel wells. Most Americans think that looks rediculous and I happen to be one of them... No racism intended... I don't think my rims look the greatest but atleast they don't stick out like an eye sore...
Roo- I was talking about the blue nissan and the rear wheels on your SC, I see there is tiny rear fender lips and without that I think the rims would really stick out and look funny and yes my rims and tires can hold my horsepower claims... Just dump the wheel spacers and you be good to go....Anything else my friends? Hear are some nicer rims on lowered car and these do not stick out and this sc rocks.... Wouldn't you guys agree this looks better then those gold rims .
PS. That dyno post was a very old post and one of my first posts on any forum. I was a newbee and on the defensive and getting ripped. I didn't have a current dyno and I made a mistake, and I appologise.. It won't happen again...
Thanks Cherp for showing everyone my dirt...thank you so much.....

You guy's have done a pretty good job of keeping the thread on topic and not causing a debate. 410 posts of mostly quality stuff here.
Mongoose, you're a good guy so don't let an opinion turn into an argument. I think your point has been made quite clearly on your stance, and that's the end of it.
Since this thread has been going along so well for so long we are going to start handing out temp bans for any strife brought into it from this post forward.
It's nice to see a good long thread with good info keep going so rather than lock it, we'll just start eliminating the problem.
Keep it going.

What is the widest tire one would be able to run on a 17x9 rear wheel with a +45 offset? Right now I have 255, but would something wider work? ...like 265/40/17? I think that would give me the fatness in the rear I would like without getting larger rims, or would it look weird being too wide for the rim? Lowered on Espelir springs, would I then need fender mods to fit this tire? Right now I have ZERO rubbing issues with my 255/40/17 tires

hmmm any pics of what it looks like? I think the width on the 255 is nice looking from behind, but a little fatter look and I'd be really happy. I wonder if I can run 275 without fender mods since my offset is +10mm higher than yours?
edit: 275/40 would mean a taller sidewall as well, so I would probably need to roll the fender as well

I don't think Roo is running adapters/spacers. Just nice aggressive Volk GT-C. Looking badass as usual Roo.
I've seen other pics of that blue s14 and although I love aggressive wheel fitment, the front always looks odd to me. I think he should get a pair of more conservative front wheels.

I'm looking at the new Work Emotion XD9 in 17" for my daily wheels (to save money on tire... already have a set of 18s).
They are available in 17x8.5 w offsets of +25, +32, +42
and in 17x9.5 w/ offsets of +17, +28, +38, +44
What offset and tire width should I go with for a flush look on a moderately lowered SC?
I'm thinking +32 front and +38 rear... what do you think? Should I go +28 on the rear for the look I want or will that require fender modification?
Tire recommendations?
Thanks

Ok i know im gonna get bashed on, but i have a currently 225/55/R16's on my gs430 rims. I know someone who is willing to sell his 245/50/R16's. They are wider than my tires and was wondering if fitment on my rims would be an issue. My father tells me they wont fit, any opinions?

My car has a zero finger gap front & back and here are my widths and offsets, 8.5" fronts with +15, 10" with +29...
I would go with the +25 and +28...As long as you are dropped low enough, it should look nice...when I say low, I'm talking 1 finger, maybe 2 max...
Hope that helps..
