****Official Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide for SC300/SC400****

Was having trouble finding the weight of the stock wheels, with or without tires. Looking to upgrade a size or two up at about 16-18lbs a piece. Trying to get more performance out of the rims, also a nice lightweight tire that will hold up. Thanks!

Just a quick question, I found some wheels that are
18x10 +25 for the rear
18x9 +30 for the front
and I am planning on 275/35R18 in the rear and 255/35R18 in the front. I know that the make and model of tire has a pretty big effect on its fitment, but in general should these fit my 93 SC400? Will I have to roll the fenders for this setup assuming its lowered? Thanks in advance for the help!

You'll need an insane pull or widebody to fit that low of an offset wheel. Lots of negative camber and stretched tires too.
I don't know the exact figure, but it should be around 55 pounds for the rim and tire.
Those sizes will fit on your car after you roll the fenders completely flat. 255/35/18 is a little thick in the front, so it'll probably rub when you turn full lock.

Let me ask a question a different way. Say I want 18" wheels on a lowered SC, what wheel specs would I need to get the widest tire possible front and rear without rolling the fenders? My car is like showroom new condition, and I feel bad about rolling the fenders. I am sure I will end up doing it though, just curious.
Thanks,
Sean

Thank you for the response! So I am guessing the offset is a bit much, or is it more my tire side? I don't have to go 255 up front, I can get the same tires in a 245/35R18.

The offset you're looking at isn't too bad. I would say 245/40/18 is the perfect tire size in the front. I don't really see a need to go wider than that.
There are so many factors that go into if your tires will rub. You have to consider wheel width, offset, tire size, how low the car will be, what are your alignment specs, how stiff are the coilovers, and many other things. I didn't experiment much with wheels before my fenders were rolled, but based on my experience, I would guess for a 9 and 10 inch wide wheel offsets of +38 or higher would be the lowest offset before the fender lip will become an issue.

I completely understand about having a mint car. I had my car for 6 years and multiple sets of rims before I found a set that was worth cutting up my fenders for.

Here is what I want to do...
18x9.5 +22 up front with a 255 tire
18x10.5 +22 out back with a 265/275 tire
I know I will be rolling the fenders flat, but I dont want to pull the fenders. Can I fit this setup without crazy camber?
Another option I was thinking of is running a square setup... 18x9.5 +22 w/255 all around
Thanks,

Personally, I would run a 245/40/18 in the front on the 9.5 and 265/35/18 in the rear on the 10.5. Roll the front and rear completely flat and run about -1.8 to -2 degrees in the rear. You'll rub occasionally depending on what brand tire you have and how stiff your suspension is.

8.17" is the largest back spacing I have ever heard of on the SC, but that required a lot of hammering and smaller coils to fit. My current wheels have 6.7" back spacing and it clears my air suspension, so somewhere around 7" would be perfect for coilovers or a spring/shock combo.
Define what your think crazy camber is.

16"inch is stock, 17" still look very small on these cars even when lowered/slammed. I'm on 19" inch wheels, stock ride height and my wheels don't look big, almost wish I went 20".
