I ran a 19x11 +11 in the rear and it poked out a ton. It could be done with enough camber and stretched tires. Are you running that size all around or just in the rear?

I’ve only seen sizes like that on wide body SC’s.

I ran the OEM 2004-2006 LS430 18 inch wheels in that exact tire size on my SC300 for years. Mine were chrome as well. I would highly recommend those or the 2006-2011 GS 18 inch wheels. They look good with this tire size and it’s a smooth ride.

Are you old school as in American muscle cars? If so, you may like some of the wheels with large spokes, in the classic Cragar S/S style.

Or do you mean old school like classic Japanese, or era correct? Lots of options out there. I just went through a lot of time looking at wheels, and I first narrowed it down to the general "look" I liked. Thinner spokes, or fatter spokes? Or no spokes? You already know you like chrome, so that narrows it down a lot. I also wanted to go with chrome (I'm old school too, classic cars), but after seeing what was available in chrome, I had to go another choice.

What I did that really helped was just put "sc300 wheels" or something like that into google, and just look at image results. Also there are several large wheel websites that all use a similar wheel selector interface. It is very helpful, and updates in real time based on the options you select. I'm not sure if it is against forum rules to link a website so I won't, but PM me if you want to know.

Go to those websites and play around with the selector. First filter by bolt pattern, then by size, then by finish, etc... until you see what is available.

I've been up and down this thread but haven't found an exact numbers. Currently running 18x8 +35 with 225\40 FR 245\45 RR

I'm looking at some 18X8.5 FR 18X10 RR +20 wheels. Will be installing ls400 bbk soon. Any recommendations on tire sizes? Will offset be an issue? I'm on maxpeeding coilovers, not lowered a ton. I don't mind rolling fenders🤏, but cutting is a negative pls👎

Default CV3-R 19's ? for 95 SC400

Hi guys,

I have a chance at buying some Vossen CV3-R wheels - they are

19x8.5 +14mm offset for the fronts and
19x10 +10mm offset for the rears

Will these fit if i have coilovers and will get my fenders rolled/pulled? What I'm most worried about is the offsets. Usually the offsets are between 32 and 40 for 19's on SC's.

This is how the SC400 looks with these rims on. His offsets are in the +20s/30s range from what i remember reading.

Anyway - the reason why I believe the rims will fit is due to this car below and its offsets:

1998 Lexus SC400 Base
Work Meister Front: 19x8.5 +12 Rear: 19x9.5 +10 | Bridgestone Potenza Re050 Front: 235/35 Rear: 255/35 | BC Racing Coilovers

Please let me know what you guys think? I could really use the help here.

Thanks

They should fit since you’re rolling your fenders. What tire sizes do you plan to use?

Hey all!

What are opinions on 18x9 +35 with 245/40 all around? I am wanting to keep a square setup.

Will this give me too much poke on the front? I am okay with adding spacers anywhere that they’re needed.

I have a 97 sc400, currently on stock suspension. My fenders are not rolled. Have plans to lower it slightly later on in the year but would like to put off fender rolling until then.

Thanks everyone!

It should fit, especially at stock height. It might be close to flush at stock height but will be a little sunken in once lowered. The tires up front could rub a little once you lower the car, while taking sharper turns.
