That looks so much better with that spacer on. I’m really impressed with how big of a difference it makes.

I might have to grab a set of spacers. I have a set of SC400 wheels on my GS300 and they look so goofy and sunken in.

Actually I was looking for this specifically. My 99 400 has brand new continentals all the way around from the previous owner. I am planning on running them for a little while before new wheels and tires. I also like the five spokes of the 99 a lot better than the old sc wheels

What spacers did you buy? The kinds where you replace the wheel studs?

Hello, I'm looking to get these BBS LMs F: 18x9+38 and R: 18x10 +40, will these clear Supra Big Brake TT for front and rear? Also, what kind of fender modification do I need to do, and recommended tire size? Thanks in advance?

Rear brake clearance should be fine. Front might be tight. No fender mods at stock height. If lowered rolling them should be sufficient without any pulling necessary.

I am running 245/40r18 on my 18x9 +35 square setup and it barley rubs sometimes in the front but I like the meaty look especially because I am on stock suspension. I also like that they’re about the same diameter as stock.

Sorry I can’t find a rear view
Perfect just the look I am going for except I will be on air.

Default Wheel fitment over LS400 front brakes

Hey guys, first time buying wheels so i'm trying to wrap my head around the fitment, i'm looking to buy some Work S13P's if possible in 18" but need them to fit over the LS400 brake 'upgrade' on the front of the car I have, have adjustable BC Racing coilovers to go on with and play with height, not wanting to roll fenders if i can avoid but will if needed, if anyone has some information to guide me that would be great!

Default Opinions?

After reading through this thread I was set on 18x8.5 +35.

I have a new set of tein coilovers sitting in the garage and have been browsing marketplace and Craigslist for a month trying to find a deal on wheels/tires.

I came across these 18x8.5 +30. Would they work out ok?

They should fit without any trouble. They will look sunken in you plan on dropping your car really low. If it’s just a mild drop, it should look fine.

Default Will this clear/fit

I recently just bought a set of Work VS-XX Front: 18x9 +34 and Rear: 18x10 +20 and they came with tire sizes of 225/40/18 and 235/40/18. I also just bought Toyota Supra Turbo brakes. The site I bought the wheels did say Big Caliper Compatible. Just in case I run into some issues with caliper clearance, what size spacers should I buy (I don't really want to run them, but if it's a must, I will do so). Also, I just recently got all 4 of my fenders rolled, the car is not lowered yet, but soon on Tein Flex Z. I want to run a little bigger tire set up because I do not like the stretched tire look and I am concerned about the use of stretched tires for daily driving, what size does everyone recommend?

P.S. This is for daily driving, no track as of yet. I am not going to stance or slam the ***** out of the car, I just want to minimalize the wheel gap to maybe 1 finger

TL;DR:
1) Work VS-XX - F: 18x9+34 with 225/40/18; R: 18x10+20 with 235/40/18, what spacer size does everyone recommend so my wheels do not fall off and to make sure I clear the Supra Turbo Brakes?
2) I want to run a bigger tire size because I do not like the stretched look and I am concerned about the stretched tires for daily driving, what tire size does everyone recommend?

Default 17x10 +25 squared fitment

Looking to run 17x10 +25. Unfortunately it does not spec out hi disk mid or low. It's a jegs ssr wheel. I have ls400 front brakes stock rear. Fenders rolled on all 4 corners, coilovers. Currently running stock 370z wheels. I have seen a few 18x10 with similar specs. More curious if anyone has input. Before I make a $230 dollar mistake. On a wheel that will not clear my ls400 brakes.

thanks.

From stock to BBS RS2 and then onward to TE37SL

Lowered Stock wheels and tire size 225/55r16

BBS RS2 Front 17x8 +38 225/45r17 Rear 18x10 +45 275/35r18 Cooper rs3 all season tires No fender roll or pull

Same wheels with +10mm spacers all around Federal rs-rr 200 tread wear Front 235/45r17 Rear 275/35r18 Fender trimmed, no roll

Volk Racing TE37SL blast bronze 18x9.5 +38mm square 275/35r18 Toyo R888r 150 tread wear Fender trimmed, no roll

Both S as in sc400 and s2000

It can stick and move now. Just gathering parts for manual conversion because the a650e is starting to show signs of slippage after 9 years of daily commute and 2 years of track and canyon carving

Nice. GS400/430 17inch 5 spoke wheels look pretty good on SC400 as well. Similar to your wheels but bit sportier.

Good day guys!

Already put this setup on my 99' sc400:
SSR VF1
18 x 8.5 F/R // 235/40 F/R Toyo proxes all around
Over the past 2 years I tried different coilover setup: Zeal, Cusco Zero 2, BC Racing BR but returned to stock suspention (low mile used shocks btw) for city cruizing
The roads in my city are not so good and I feel every crack on it.
Is it possible that the tires are too narrow and tough for these rims? I want to put new tires 255/45 all arond. Should I put wider tires on the rear?
Thx in advance!
