Not without fender mods. What are the widths and size?

ok i didn't read through all the 47 pages but quick question since i need new rear tires bad...right now i have some 255/40/17 and was wondering if 275 will fit a 17x10 on a lowered(tein springs and kyb adjustable shock) sc300 w/o rubbing the inside fender etc or should i just get 265 instead??..i have no clue what the offset are on the rims but it does have a 2 inch or so lip though if that helps....

the offset will be the determining factor...

I have 275's on 9.5" wheels w/ +35 offset, I have rolled fenders, no rubbing...

** i read like the first 6 pages but im tired and need to go to bed im lookin at wheels soon so here goes**

i jus bought a 94 sc300 and it is bone stock im wanting to lower it but i dont have much $$ i also have 4 michelin pilot tires 245-40-18s sittin at the house and am thinkin about buying some wheels since the car has some hideous 15x7 chrome american racing wheels that came on it.

i can get a set of 18x9.5 +20 wheels for 130$ a piece and since i already have the tires im thinkin bout going for it, but i cant afford coilovers infact im trying to find a good deal on springs but they dont seem to drop them much, unless u get the espilers can u use the supra struts and do supra lowering springs and get it dropped further?? also does anybody have any input on weather the 18x9.5 +20 will fit i can roll them a lil bit but not really wanting to pull it unless i really really have to...

has anybody ever used a stock supra spring and strut combo and cut a coil off the stock supra springs and threw it on lol?? this is a daily and i dont beat on it! i have another car for that.

and mongol khan did u ever have a Q? i think ive seen your car b4 i drive a camo nissan 240sx my buddy is doin a drift q45 with an rb25det anyways i thought your car looked familiar

that offset will work with a narrow tire... proper fitment should be in the +35 to +45 range, and allow you to run a wider tire... what size do you have already?

mine is 1.1" drop on supra tt struts, and is perfect for me... you could do 1.5" drop on supra struts and be quite a bit lower than stock...

cutting coils off springs can be a good experience or horrible... depending on the spring rate and how much you cut off, you could end up with too stiff, too soft, or too springy... or just right... it depends...

245/40-18 is actually a proper 18" tire size for your car... with that offset wheel though, you may have fitment issues... it will be close either way...

stock supra stuff is about a half inch drop, and is pretty cheap to come by... add 1.1" drop springs (eibach, tein, etc) or 1.6" drop springs and your car is low...

I just measured my car and with the supra struts, and tein s-tech springs, I am perfectly at the tire height front and rear (25" fender height front, 25" tire height, 25.25" fender height rear, 25.6" tire height)

so your rear wheels are tucking .35 in ?

yea i get what your saying id like to do the supra struts and lowering springs, so im guessing that the 1.6" drop is enough... when i look at the car i jus keep thinkin it will need at least 2" to look good.... idk anyways thanks for the help ill find out this week i guess if im gonna get those wheels or not ill post some pics up if i do... but i need to get suspension at the same time also and roll the fenders.

im guessin ill have to add a little more - camber or maybe from being lowered it will have enough? idk im fixing to jus get the wheels mount the tires and try and get some suspension and find out!

my camber prior was at -1 degree... now at -2.5 rear, -1.8 front; just because I want the handling
