Apology and some pictures (96 cleared tails)

Guys-
I first wanted to apologize for making an ill-advised classified posting this morning. I wanted to generate as much interest as possible on the cleared 96 lights that I threw together, so I posted them to get as many weekend views as possible. However, I was not 100% committed to the sale; I thought I liked my new 97+ tails more, but my opinion was not cemented.
When I saw the lights at night, I noticed a small spec of OEM sealant that projects a small shadow on the very top of the tail light that I modified. It is not noticeable in the day but noticeable when standing directly over the tails, looking down. I did not feel comfortable selling a $320 pair of tails that were not perfect. If the tails were perfect, I may have stuck to my word and sold them even though I liked them more. But, when I saw the imperfection, I knew they were mine to keep.
I made a mistake by posting the classified. I have fixed the ad and instead posted an ad for my 97 tails which will indeed to be sold. I apologize for not being 100% behind my sale, thusly compromising the forum policy.

The surgery itself was hell. It took so much time, and a ton of patience: not only to get the tails open and apart, but then to cut a piece of light diffusing plastic to spec and secure it on an arc with superglue. Going over the superglue with a bead of silicone and then sealing the light back up was easy. But, the process overall was very time consuming and focus demanding.
I ended up buying LED's so that the red brake bulbs and orange blinker bulb would not be visible until the light was on, thusly enhancing the clear aspect of the tail mod.
The mayhem:

One of each at dusk:

Headlights on and Brake pedal depressed (LEDs on right):

Headlights on with Hazards (LED on right):

In summary:
- I modified my 96 tails to make them more interesting to sell
- I made a mistake posting an ad while not 100% committed to sell
- I apologize to everyone for that
- The tails are not perfect, but they are still very beautiful
- The LEDs look pretty cool

screw those LED socket bulbs, they all suck, i've used tons of them.
IMO, use chromed red bulbs. it will give you the cleared effect but light up much nicer. http://autolumination.com/ scroll to the bottoms of the pages for the chrome ones.
but nice job on the clearing, looks perfect.
