Wow.... that looks beautiful! Thats the way a car should be painted, stripped to nothing and done right. What kind of paint are they using...PPG, HOK, Sikkens?

Looks great, im def subscribing to this thread. I plan to have my sc painted over the winter; nothing special just a 3 stage repaint in Onxy Black.

Quality work doesn't take time ?
So taking the time and removing parts doesn't result in a better paint job ?
I sure think so.
I think its safe to say a body shop that takes more time to remove bumpers, lights, trim, handles and gas cap will come out nicer. Not to mention a body shop that masks the car correctly from the start, not having to clean up parts with over spray like exhaust tips, wheels, a/c condenser etc.

So, this Extra Time yields Quality

My comment "quality takes time" pretty much applies to everything. I wasn't comparing the time its taken the soarer to get painted vs your faster paint job.

The paint is supplied from a company called Schuberts, I dont know much about them but the painter is very happy with them, we brought six litres to paint the car and will have some left over.

The supplier of my body kit has to replace it, we were not happy with the quality, so he is making new ones for and will pre fit them to one of his cars before I get them, that way they should fit first time with no stuffing around.

As far as how much paint was applied, there was a black base coat, three coats of colour and two coats of clear

The Paint is Schuberts.

Onyx Black IMO these cars suit the darker colours, actually they look great in most colours, seen a few that would make you sick though, but every one has their own tastes and I wont knock any one publicly for being individual

Thank you all for the good comments, I really hope this turns out as good as I hope it will. The paint shop is real busy and wont get much done so I will just need to be patient

Was not much sun out today.
