Default SC 400 headers X/H pipe & Intake, Suspension

Alright, well the status of my SC is a bit iffy. I thought I would be getting rid of it (Supra or SC/GS 300), but it looks like I'll proably just run it into the ground.

I was wondering, does anyone know if there is an X or H pipe for the SC400? (It comes stock with a Y pipe, I'm assuming it's a bit restrictive)

Also headers... Anyone know of some good headers for the 400?

And last but by far not least, what is the best set of shocks and struts for the SC400. I live in New England, so with all these pot holes, lowering may not be a very bright idea....

Thanks in advance.

Oh yea... Also what's the best intake system? That BFI deal in main lobby looks interesting. Rod Millen or what?

hey man.....headers will be here shortly....hopefully late this month or early January. This will be along with a full "true dual" exhaust system. Go with tokico struts. The best intake system so far is probably the Weapon-R cold air intake system for $300. Later, Adam

Hey Adam:
I got an email from Leo. He stated that they are waiting for MAF adapter plates. The kit could be ready in January some time. I do not however know just what all comes in the Weapon-R air intake kit.

Do you know of anyone who is still making and selling the Cold Air Box? LexusSC400.com lists them on the web site but has non for sale at this time.

Also, Do you know of anyplace that has a MAF adaptor? Again LexusSC400.com lists them but has none in stock for sale.

UZZ32: those aren't sc4 headers are they?

Red93: Leo is selling the cold air box and that whole kit....you just wont' have an upgraded MAF adaptor. I'm am probably going to get a 4 inch custom MAF adaptor made for me for maybe $10 or so. Not sure yet. I'm ordering my cold air system from him tommorow. I'll let everyone know its results next week. Later guys...Adam

yep, they are SC400 headers - see more pics and details on my website:

Pete's Soarer Tech Stuff

Are there any others available that you know of?

You can also make your own BFI (big intake). The BFI supercharges the entire intake system (not much though!) and gives maximum filtration.

Adam:
Yes do post the results here when you get a chance and take deinstall and new install pics as you rip out the old and install the new. That would be quite helpful.

I am still very unclear what is in the Weapon-R system. There is a filer, the V2, no MAF plate adapter so you have to get your own (now). An Air Box which I think is metal. A new pipe that goes between the MAF and Throttle Body. Is there an optional cold air duct system to feed the cold air box or is that included?

Regarding your desire for a 4" MAF adapter plate. If you get it, will the Weapon-R V2 filter attach to it? If the answer is yes to that you can imagine what my next question will be....

ALso, before doing this install, PLEASE take a good baseline of GTECH-Pro runs so we can all see what the effect is. Thanks Bud.
