Im about to repaint my sc, but how many clear coats does it take to get that crazy shine im looking for?
it's not about how much clear coat you put on, it's about how well it's finished...
what I'd recommend is three good coats of clear, sand with 600 to knock down any orange peel and make sure you have an ultra smooth finish, then one or two more even coats of clear, then wait a week... then color sand - 1500 grit first, then 2000 grit, then 2500 grit... then polish and buff til your arms fall off...
