Just catching the thread myself, did you say something about hitting some re-enforced MAILBOXES? I live in AZ and the only mail boxes I usually see of the re-enforced kind are in housing subdivisions n such.. where exactly were you doing 100mph at!? Glad to hear you or anyone was seriously injured or worse.. After seeing that type of carnage do you think you'll ever speed like that again?

I had been trying to learn to drift. My dad used to race and he was giving me lessons. every straight stretch is a drag race, every corner is a drift. I was getting the hang of it but this time things just didn't work out. the corner was not a full on smooth turn. it kind of jack-knifed halfway through. Now I understand that it is not quite as easy as "go really fast". I am a much more careful driver now.

There were reinforced mailboxes. It was way out in the country in Oregon. The corner I wrecked on has taken many a vehicle off of the road. The people who lived in the neighboring homes said that I was the third wreck of the month. It is kind of like a bermuda triangle....LOL...I am now a careful driver. I still mess around sometimes but I don't let it get out of hand. You know what they say...."save it for the track"

Once you catch the grass at high speeds your f***ed. Also instead of hitting a tree i hit the ditch hard enough that it flipped me and then i rolled 3 times. This happened in my 97 Honda Prelude just a couple weeks ago. I had two other friends in the car and they walked away untouched while me on the other hand had a big gash on the top of my head. Went to the trauma center and now im making a good recovery. Im now in the market looking for a nice SC. They look bigger and safer and more luxurious. lol
Oooh, seeing those pictures were a little freaky. I recently sold my 2000 prelude for an SC, but always wondered what would have happened had I wrecked at highway speeds. I'm amazed your friends didn't get their legs crammed into oblivion... That back seat was a nightmare.

LOL....If I wasn't so Naive to the rarity of these cars at the time I would have bought it back from the Insurance company....But instead i let it go to auction.

I was the only one in the car. The police said if anyone else was in the car they would most likely have died....I am very glad my fiance was home in bed. I'll tell you this. After working in body shops for years and seeing more horribly wrecked cars than I could dream of counting, I personally consider the Lexus SC to be by far one of the safest vehicles on the road. I should have died at that speed....but my car protected me.

I was referring to Kahuna's Prelude pictures. Sorry chief!

Yeah that front-end damage on the SC looks pretty sick too, but the cabin is all that counts!
