I must have my terms messed up then because I always thought the main part of the body directly above in front of and behind the rear wheel well was considered the "rear quarter panel".

You must be right about the little extension parts man - there just doesn't seem to be much better an explanation than that

As a matter of fact - I had to walk outside to figure this out for sure. They have to be talking about the small part that could basically be considered a rear side skirt. It's about 1 and third foot long and maybe 8 inches tall and lives at the bottom edge of the rear quarter panel in between the edge of the rear bumper and wheel wells lowest edge.

That part there MUST be what they meant.

They should have said "rear rocker panels" I think

Something else I was always wondering was, since you already have the white foamy insert crush panel thingie (front absorber) from the pre 97 SC nose.... can you just use it to fill out and support the 97+ bumper cover? Or do you have to buy that part too if you don't want your new cover to start deforming and bending / slumping downward... ?

What's the word on that?

Yea various companies have different names for them. I refer to them as the rear bumper extensions.
I believe you can use your old front absorber, but you will have to modify them to fit. I think the shape is different. I just went ahead and bought the 97 one since it didn't cost too much.

Correct, the 97+ module will only fix the hyperblinking on 95-96 models. Members have tried different ways to fix this issue on the 92-94 SCs. Here is one that I have saved: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=282805
