Default coming back to the SC family, but need help

i've had 92 sc400 about 2 years ago, but sold it and now deciding to get a 95 SC300 5spd, but this car has some problems and hope you guys can help me out

the memory seats and mirror settings are not working. i think both of these things comes from one module? how much would it cost to fix this and what is that piece i need to replace so i can look for it at junkyards.

another problem is the trunk wont stay open, probably lost some hinges to it?. i think this is a common problem for SC, what is that i need to replace (the name of the piece)?

imma try to fix this at home, so extra help would be greatly appreciate. and looking forward to join the family again. i'm passing on a chance to join the GS430 family for you guys, so lets be nice to me.....

you need to replace the trunk struts. there are two, but when i replaced mine i only did one of them - which seemed to work fine. i used the Stabilus trunk strut. part # O2064-136029. think it was $40 each.

$40 EACH? I paid $20 shipped for EACH from www.rockauto.com ..I used the one WITH spoiler since then I had a spoiler, now as of a month ago I have no spoiler and that trunk comes up fast enough to smack me in the chin. Just replace one of them will be fine, I can tell you that from experience. I've had to change them twice. First time I changed out BOTH and they both failed at the same time within 3 years. So then the second time I only changed out the LEFT side, and that one is still holding here 2 years later. So replace one or both, they'll still fail at the same time so why spend the extra for both?

I got my set of struts for $47 delivered on eBay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...QQcmdZViewItem

My memory seats don't work either, but my steering does. They are all on the same fuze and controleed by the same ECU (under your driver's seat). Check the wiring to make sure its connected (in the door in particular) which has fixed some folk's seat memory. Because two functions aren't working, my bet is on the ECU. So ask Aliga or R&J Distributing (both parting out several cars) and see if they have the driver's seat ECU.

Hope this helps.
