while you are there, take the quarter glass and the door trims off.

I highly recommend doing this as well... it's maybe an extra 1-2 hours worth of work, but makes the whole thing easier, and look better as well...

Can't wait to see the finished outcome! How much is the respray going to run you?

I definitely agree... nothing more than walking out to the car and not seeing a single dent, ding or chip in the paint...

thanks for the support guys! i've been waiting patiently for this moment for awhile. ever since i totaled my pristine 96 pdw sc3. now i will have a straight 92 1j'd 5sp s250! woot. as for the comments by mitsu and aliga, are you talking about the chrome trim? like in total removal? i think gettin rid of the chrome is a good idea. i will talk to the shop as soon as i get ure reply. thanks

I don't necessarily mean don't put it back, I mean take it off to paint the car...

I'm up in the air about removing it entirely... I've thought about going both ways- repainting it OEM, or repainting it all black...

Hey what shop is doing the work? Since you're sticking with the stock color, I'm assuming that you're just spraying the exterior and not the door jambs right? How much is it costing you total?
