apparently raceonusa seems to have some pretty decent replicas. also check out the classified section. there are always people selling (pieces of)kits. depends on if you're flexible about the kit you get or are adamant about getting a vertex replica. be careful and do your research, bc if you chose incorrectly, you'll end up spending just as much to fix the knock-off as you would have to purchase the geniune thing. do your homework & choose a replica wisely & install/have it installed properly & no one will ever know the difference.

There is a difference. Genuine is usually made high higher quality material, hence the higher price. Looks wise, no one will probably notice. Get in a low speed accident and it may be more obvious.

I think it is safe to assume that genuine kits fit better, but they can have just as poor fitment as the knockoffs. Check that fitment thread, a few people had some pretty bad fitting genuine kits.

Spend more on a genuine kit and there is less chance of having fitment issues, but there is no guarantee.

Let us know how your decision works out. I plan on going knockoff when I get to that point, I don't mind doing the work to make a knockoff fit right.

Good luck

here's a link to a thread w/an installed jic replica. For whatever reason the pics aren't all working. the pics from that thread are also being used for promo pics for the kit being sold. i'd assume that the vertex replica fits about the same as the jic, but your best bet is to read the seller feedback and search for other responses about replicas/knock-off. the thread that was given earlier is a great source of info. the community is really friendly, so if you pm someone that has supplied info about their kit, then i'm pretty sure you'll get an informative answer.
