Another 'cleaning headlight' question..
I've done my research and got the basic idea of how to clean my headlights as they are gross and fogged. So today I went out and bought some Turtle Heavy-Duty Rubbing Compound hoping that most of the dirt and grime was on the outside. Well the stuff did clean the outside pretty well, however the lights are still disgusting. Which means I need to take them apart and clean the insides.
So my question is that I live in Vancouver which is a very moist climate, especially with fall coming; and before I throw the headlights into the oven I'm concerned with not being able to perfectly re-seal the lights. With the climate here they will just fog up worse than before if not perfectly sealed. Has anyone had an issue with this? How difficult is it to re-seal the lights as to factory (or better) standards? Should I just buy new lights?
I'm looking to you north-west SC owners here for advice here..

IF your lights are sealed good now. If you pop them apart, just use zipties to hold them TIGHTLY together putting it back together. Some people use caulking to seal it up even more, but thats a pita to remove if you have to open the headlight again.

I've had some issues with fogging re-sealed head lights... Anyways I didn't need to rebake them to reseal them. When it's foggy, I take off the bulb and the rubber circle seal, then blow the headlight dry with a leaf blower. Then I use the silicone seal and look for spots that I missed.. if I couldn't find any I just seal off all the surfaces where there's supposed to be sealant.
