haha, i forgot to clarify that i have the same vertex ripoff bumper like chanh55 a couple of posts above where the grill area is in middle/center of the headlights. i test fitted the 97+ grill a couple days ago just to see if it would go on and it's a real ****ty fit. as far as mounting gos the only solution is to make my own brackets with some sheet metal. any easier way?
If you buy the 3M double sided tape (make sure it's the white one, and not the grey one, the kind they use with bodykits, not the kind you buy at advance auto parts), you can get it to stick pretty easily. I had a roll of 3M double sided tape that was good for EVERYTHING. I stuck it to a brick and stuck it on a wall and it stayed there for over 2 years, until someone knocked it down. Anyways, the tape is strong, it can hold up to 50lbs, so a little grill is no problem. Make sure the two surfaces is dry when you apply it, after it's set....it's weather resistant, so you don't have to worry about water and ice. The best way to do it is to cut small cubes and place it around the grill, then place it in the slot. If you do a strip, it doesn't hold as well. I learned from experience Anyways, that's one way of doing it, it's way easier than making brackets and it doesn't require any drilling.
