Default Does anyone wish that the SC had a more raked look?

raked meaning kinda like the supra with a trunk that sits and ends higher than the hood.

the stock spoiler helps a bit in raising the level of the trunk (to make it seem level and less sloping down towards the rear bumper) and to reduce the roundness of the back.

design wise i like the look of the low wide front of the car a lot. the rear of the car i think is a little too rounded.

As far as body, I think it is best flatter for this body design.

As far as suspension: NO, this car need to be as level as possible. It isn't a Mustang. I can't stand rake.

It's a lexus ! Not a muscle car. Our cars need to be level and smooth. Rake is for drag cars.

The SC sits with the front higher than the rear, from the factory. I dont like it. I think leveling it out (wheelgap wise), or a little rake, looks good.

raking the car is easily accomplished with a properly chosen suspension.

I went with Swift Springs to accomplish a small rake: 1.2F/0.8R drop for a Supra. I am a big fan of my springs in every way.

Obviously, coilovers could accomplish damn near any rake.

Too much rake will take weight off the rear wheels and make traction less available, but I think a little rake (less than 0.5" is appropriate).

If you want a big rake, I suggest HKS Springs for the Supra. They will accomplish a 35mm Front and 5mm rear drop on a Supra. This is about a 2.1F/0.8R drop on the SC. This would pretty much destroy suspension geometry, but it would make the stance mimic a 60's muscle car.

fully built suspension will have some natural rake to it because of the sway bars. Monster sized sway bars tend to life the rear of the car a little bit.

im not too sure what the raked look is but from reading im guessing its have the car sit higher in the back and the fron low...... if so i guess i had a raked look for a while. 20x10 rear and 19x8front gave it a raked look

IMO I think the 92-96 body styles look good with some rake. SCs with body kits or 97+ bodys, look better level.

Here is my '92 with a little bit of rake:

eh i dont like rake. my car is raked right now and i hate it. i need to find time to adjust the coilovers. it drives so much better when the suspension is level.
