Default Horn and Cruise Control not working

So i just got done installing my new all black 1995 lexus sc steering wheel. and all of sudden the horn stopped working. it worked at the begining and then when i spun the wheel all the way around i heard a click nd crack nd then the horn nd cruise control didnt work. anybody know wat the problem might be?

there is a fuse under the hood that controls the horn. It actually also controls the hazards also. If your hazards are not working as well, I bet you simply broke a fuse.

I am not sure if cruise control is on that fuse or not, but it might be.

i checked all the fuses and they were fine... my hazards work... its just the horn nd cruise control.

Sounds like when you put the wheel on, things weren't lined up properly and now the contact ring has broken/moved or the connector has pulled itself out somehow.

pull it off and inspect for damaged or broken pieces. Replace those that are.

this is old sorry. but yeah i have had a chance for much yet. anyone have any idea? where to look? problem?

still no luck im going to have to check the wiring but i have no clue how to get to it.

your clock spring is most likely bad, i have one for 35 shipped.

the clock spring transfers the signals from the horn cruise, etc down thru the steering column.

wiring is built into the unit, so as the wheel turns, the wires turn as well. basic hand tools will do the job.

alright i think im going to hav to order that part. but imma look at those tail lights too so we can combine shipping also a cupholder for the middle.
