Exclamation How do I power up a cluster...???

How do I power up a cluster if the car has no battery and/or key?

A local wrecking yard has 3 or 4 clusters available, however, they dont know the lighting condition of the needles, gauges, milage, etc. They also dont have any idea which vehicles the clusters came from nor does it matter cause they dont have the keys to either one of them to power up.

I would please like to know how to power these puppies up (what size battery is required) to check them out, and where exactly in the back of the clusters do I make the wire contact to power them up. I know there are some male/female plugs behind them, but which pins exactly do I connect a battery (I assume) to?

Any pics if possible would be great too...!

Thanks.

you stick it in the car.

(well that's what I do!) Otherwise look in my gallery for some wonderfully confusing diagrams on the pinouts.
