Default Shaved Aentenna Anyone?

Does anyone have their aentenna shaved off at all? I noticed before school started today that if would look very nice to have it shaved off and probably get one of the aentennas that sit inside your car on the rear window.

Hi CT,

Welcome to Club Lexus. I'd invite you to please try the advanced search feature of our forum as many of the questions you'll have will have already been posted and discussed many times!

For example,

I searched the SC300/400 forum for the keyword 'shaved antenna' and found these threads among others:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...shaved+antenna

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...shaved+antenna

Some members who have done it
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...shaved+antenna
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...shaved+antenna
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...shaved+antenna

Related stub antenna

You could also put 'antenna' in as a keyword and search titles only.

shave that d@mn thing, its HUGE!! mine is gone and i just took it out completely. I have an aftermarket deck and i just listen to cds/dvds. but it will still somehow pick up some radio stations, not very many though. Looks 100x better though without it.

I had my antenna shaved and I'm using "hot rod" internal antenna. It's installed where the antenna used to be and I get perfect reception when listening to Lykis 101...

What is this antenna you people speak of?

If you're really keen you could source a rear windshield from a Soarer (they've all got the screen mounted antennas).

Soarers don't have external antennas?

Thats exactly the route I am going, I already bought the "hot rod" interior window mounted antenna, now I need to uninstall and plug up the antenna hole on my car. I don't want to shave it because I am afraid that it may be costly since I have a pearl white paint.

Blow me up Tom!
