Do I have to send any power or anything to the cluster or can I just test the terminals?

Finally got my hands on a voltmeter. B-C reads close to spec (145-146, says 154) but A-B and A-C only register about 18. Guess the fuel gauge is bad. Does anybody ever part out clusters?

Yeah, that's what I'm probably going to have to do. Guess I'll throw it back in the car and just keep putting gas in it every few days not knowing how much I have.

Thanks for everyone's help. This is seriously the best webforum I've ever been on as far as atmosphere, knowledge, and help (I've been doing the forum thing since '02).

I would consider getting a used cluster that has at most.. burnt out needles.. and get lextech to do what you want with it!

I agree.... but I've got a couple year start on you... my first "mailing list" before there were web forums was the 3000GT mailing list... that dates way back - I joined in 96... that was an extremely helpful board with great members that went to **** when it became 3si.org and was web based...
