Any estimates on

-total hours put in?unknow alot

-Total time lapsed from engine purchase to now?
about 5 months
-Total money spent on the swap?
about 10k maybe more scared to count pass that.
Just curious. I am trying to keep track of every penny I am putting into mine to see how much, in case I want to do another (and I very well might just do that).

If you'd rather not add it up, I completely understand. It is already making me want to from time to time

Looks great! And congrats! I bet you've been looking forward to this!

Whats the motor out of? US or JDM?
JDM. it sucks i didnt know it came with a 440cc stock instead of 550cc like USDM

What wire harness did you use?
i ripped the old one out and threw it out in the garbage. its a complete standalone all new wires from ecu(wolf v500) to motor.

Are you keeping the stock rear end?

right now its a stock 2jzge automatic diff.
will be getting a either supra diff or a sc300 diff with a manual.
What clutch did you put in that r154?
An exedy stage 3 from a 87-92 turbo supra.

Congrats Otis! All your patience has finally paid off. I was happy to offer my help to complete the swap. We definitely have more tuning ahead of us if you wanna keep up with your dad's Porsche.

I'm sure he did a lot of after market mods to the 2jzgte. A swap can cost as much as you want it to (maximum cost that is : )

You can do one for a lot less than 10k if all you want is the engine in.

But for 10k - you could have one hell of a power plant!!!!!

Price it out ahead of time.....Then just do it

Tavarish ill be there hit me up and im there pick the day.

SimplyZbes. the car on the outside is the same just getting a CF vented hood and swapping out my sc brakes with my NEW ls400s! and painting my rims gold.

the price for the 2jzgte motor was $2,000.00
the reason it all costed so much was as follows.
i couldnt get a soarer r154 tranny alone only if i got it with a 1jz. so that was $2500 off the bat. plus the 2jzgte, turbo, intercooler, wastegate, BOV, the Wolf v500 ecu($1,500.00) standalone, race clutch driveshaft and 5 months of labor from one shop to the next, because some people take on the project and after 2 months it show they have never done this before forced me to take to another shop which again another shop at RJ's in NY also really didnt know exactly what they are doing help to add to the BILL. all in all this should have been an easy under $5,500.00 build give or take a G. and with all this done none of my guages work except(NO tach, speedo, engine temp) my gas gauge works only. other then that, the car pulls none stop in any gear, time to time you get goosebumps when it hits full boost
Well once again i want to thank all of you a CL for a great site with people that really know there **** and arent **** heads that dont want to help in order to benifit them selves. keep the site true help out and be honest it can only help grow this community.
NJs finest,
Otis.
