Yeah it is an exhaust too. From some previous postings on this board, it seems that JIC is one of the premier tuners in Japan. I have a pic of the exhaust if anyone is interested.

Can you post the pics? Would your "part guy" be interested in getting more JIC exhaust systems?

Thanks,

Default I believe...overboost.com

has pictures of the JIC exhaust...from what I understand they are asking around $895 for this exhaust. If your friend can get the exhaust for $540, count me in also.

Although, I am wondering about the sound though compared to the BLITZ NUR.....is the blitz a direct-bolt on or is it a weld on also? I have also heard something about an X shape exhaust?? that changes your dual to a single out??

I am assuming it reduces the backpressure of course, but I don't think a single would give that much of a gain....
but I could be wrong, I don't think changing the cats would really do anything significant either....but maybe the single out would be great for the car...haven't really seen it, but I still like the dual out look.....

IMHO single out exhaust does not go with the SC.

i would have to agree with johnny. i think the dual looks better. even though the sc only utilizes one muffler, they added another for looks.

Make sure its the true dual JIC system.. They do offer a unit that is in that price range but its a single bullet unit.
Im not really sure why they list it for the SC since they require 2 mufflers. BUT, if that is the price for the dual set-up ...I'd even be down for that price!

Marcus.

Do you have an 850 BMW? Reason I ask is because back in the day I use to have one (hand me down from dad). I actually crashed it through the back of a house.....long story, and totalled it. Just curious because those cars are bad ***.

Yeah, I had a 850 CSI also, six speed with the M motor. That thing hauled so much it was crazy. I was dumb and young and did not know what I had when I crashed it. I am still kicking myself in the *** for that.

I have the Blitz Nur-Specs on my 93 SC. They are direct bolt ons. Just unbolt the old OE mufflers and bolt these on. They fit perfect. The are BIG cans with a big tip. Sound real nice. Fully stainless and mirror finish, even on the welds. Real showpieces. Get constant raves on them BUT they are a bit showy. Sound is nice and mellow, they quiet down when on the highway. They have stainless wool inside them.

Since putting on the APEXi power filter they have gotten a bit louder. The combo of th APEXi and the Blitz has really upped the high end performance on the car. It was dry this weekend and with my son, we did some Gtech runs. An average of 183 HP with load of 4140 lbs that was 10 run average. The stock baseline was 168 HP.
