The weight savings alone would be worth it... my concern would be that it fit correctly and looked right. I've seen a number of ricers with oddly fitting carbon fiber pieces, so I'd want to make sure this fit just right.

I have a feeling this is going the way of the white gauge faces, the SC4 stroker kit, the SC4 supercharger...........

$550 sounds awfully cheap. Usually a good FIBER GLASS hood will cost $800. A good carbon fiber hood would cost over $1000+, and I'd be suspicious otherwise. This is just my previous experience. If it turns out I'm wrong on this one, then great, count me in on one. Our cars need better balancing.
