How easy is it to take a SC300 auto and convert it into a 6 speed manual? Is it very different than going from 5 speed to 6 speed?

Also what is the last year you guys recommend going to for a SC300 model for turbocharging?

It's possible, but I am sure it's a lot of work. It's a little different than going to a 6 speed from 5 speed because you got some stuff already there, such as pedals, etc etc.

I think when you're turboing your car any year is fine.

It's not very simple, and certainly not cheap. You'll need an all new pedal assembly (had to wait forever from Japan), master cylinder, slave cylinder, hydraulic line, 6spd tranny, clutch, custom length driveshaft, (rear gears will be very steep and should also be changed), etc, etc, etc.

Can anyone say what has to be done to the auto transmission to help it handle the Turbo upgrade. Thanks

sc300tt is correct....not easy and expensive but doable......as for the stock auto tranny...they can handle around400+rwhp with a shift kit.....the best year is a 95...last year OBDI and has all the tunnel clearance for the 6spd with no modification......Jeff
