Default tire comfortness

Even with our RWD cars, the front tires still wear out faster right ?
And while ride comfortness mostly contribute from the front tires, would you know the estimate percentage ? Say 75% of the comfortness comes from the front tires ?

Car is lowered with Eibach and blue Tokico, all rims are 18x8 with 245x40x18,
I am thinking to change the front two tires to 235/40/18 or 235/45/18 to improve the ride a little, any comment ?

Thank you,

thicker sidewall will help with ride quality a little but i dont know how getting a smaller width tire would help.

thicker + softer suspension is your key.

Thank you,
Many things can effect the ride quality of your vehicle. Tires, suspension, bushings, tire/wheels size change, etc. On a rear wheel drive car the rear tires are the ones that will wear out the most since that is where power is going to. If your fronts are wearing out before your rears then most likely they arent wearing out evenly due to a mechanical issue. Lack of rotation can also effect the longevity and wear of your tires.

Eibach is a pretty confortable spring with a pretty conservative drop. On some 18's I'd look for a tire that was designed for confort, longevity, and low noise level. The 40 series sidewall are ok. If you go any lower you will experience a bumpy ride all around. Also you might want to double check to see if there is a tire manufacturer out there that makes a 235/45 in and 18" diameter. I hope I was able to answer all of your questions.

you can get low profile tires. but its all about the brand that you get. michelin pilots are prolly the best for comfort, then continentals, perelli, and so on.

Thanks for all the replies, wow you are right, I didnt realize 235/45 was hard to come by. I am currently looking at the PZero Nero.
I would opt for the 45, but not so sure if the tire will scrap the underguard while doing turning.

Thanks again ! I think I know what I should do now =)
