The stitching along the to of the rear seat back in my '94 SC300 is starting to come apart in a few places the seam is starting to open. I'm not really sure how long it has been that way, or if it just started happening. I looked in the back of another SC this week and saw the same thing - but much worse. I would really like to stop mine from getting worse, it doesn't look too bad yet.

Any ideas or suggestions?

hum - I have never seen this problem- your best bet is to have it restiched which would be the cheapest- or you could have it reupholstered

my old sc did this and I had it restiched....looked great

hmm... my sc has the same tear .. my brothers does too .. and some other sc he used to drive.. its a common problem..

Yea mine is like that as well. The sun beats on the leather and dries it up so it kinda 'shrinks' overtime. I'm just gonna leave it alone until I get a new leather kit.

I got the same exact tear on my seat as well. I guess its one of those "matter of time" things.
