Default Steering Wheel Problem

The automatic tilt steering on my SC-300 starting acting up all of a sudden. It will come all the way out towards and away from me, but it will only move down a couple of inches, and when i manually try to move it, the little motor inside makes a crunching sound...meaning I have to raise the seat almost to where my head hits the roof to steer comfortably.

Anyone have any insight? Thanks

This might help https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...steering+wheel

It is a common problem too. Once you get the steering wheel in a good position just turn off the tilt feature. We all know it is a cool gimmick but once you have to repair it (like I did) then you realize its to much of a pain to really fool with. Hope this helps!

I can't stress this enough. Once it goes to the spot you like, leave it there. My gear was stripped on both sides of the teeth and it took lots of fiddling to get it to work again and I didn't want to do that again.
