hmm... these days... I agree on 350z/g35's (they seem to like picking fights)... and s14's, just because of the fact how cross-breeding our 2jz's with their chassis seems to be getting so popular D:....

... oh and random TL's seem to like picking fights too lol (but maybe that's just my area)

I don't see any Japanese cars, old or new being rivals with the SC. Their design philosophies are different. I can see a lot of European cars being rivals tho...Jag, Coupe Mercs, etc

G35. It's the luxury version of a sports car, just like the SC is the luxury version of a Supra.

if the sc has a rival, it has to be able to compete with it stock vs. stock basis.
The sc has class, but not enough power to compete with some other cars out there.

SC has no rival. As far as I can tell, the SC400 for example is the only 2 door Japanese car with a V8

A few said it here but... the fact was the orgin was not the 300Zx, that car fell into the sport car war with the Supra, 3000GT, NSX , Maxda RX.

The SC's direct rival competotor was in fact the Acura Legend, the Cadi El Dog and Linc Mark 8 were the domestic counter parts.

This was when it was introducted in the early 90's.

It's high top speed was to make the Euorpean car give it respect.

Personally if you really know the SC, right now it's in a timeless class of it's own.
