Default Suggestions for quiet riding tires

I am looking to put new tires on my '94 SC300. I still use the OEM sizing of 215/60/15 and am looking for a quiet riding tire that still provides some sporty feel. I live in Central Florida so no need for snow/ice traction - but good wet traction is a must.

I am contemplating Bridgestone Potenza G009 but am afraid they will be loud and/or rough.

Any suggestions based on your experience would be appreciated.

Default Tires

I just bought a set of Goodyear Eagle Response Edge. I've only driven the car about 30 miles, but they seemed to be pretty quiet

I have Pilot Sport A/S on my 94 vette and have been extremely happy with them. They make the vette my most surefooted car in the wet, which says a lot. They are the best all-around tire (noise, ride, handling, wet, durability) I have ever had on any car.

The downside to them is price. I'm planning to try out the RE960 A/S on my SC400 because they are now the highest rated "ultra high performance A/S" tire at tire rack and are cheaper than the Pilot Sport A/S. Although with trepidation since every Bridgestone tire I've ever tried has disappointed me.

I would choose the RE960 A/S over the GS009.

Not sure why you're looking at A/S tires in FL, though.

I went ahead and ordered the Goodyear ResponsEdge. They were pretty reasonable and seem to offer both comfort and performance (at least on paper). I am having them installed tomorrow and will let everyone know how they ride.

BTW - I ordered them but haven't paid yet - if anyone has an urgent "Don't Buy Them" - please let me know ASAP.
