A/C Acting Up - Either COLD or HOT - nothing in between
How's it going guys, I've searched and couldn't really find the exact problem I'm having. Here is the situation.
My a/c either blows COLD or HOT.
On the "MAX COLD" setting, it is cold, no problems there. But when I turn the temperature **** even 1 notch to the right, the heater kicks on and blows heat.
I went to a Lambs Automotive (an Central Texas-based auto repair chain) and they told me it would cost $600 to replace ($400 for part, $200 for labor). He told me the Temperature Control Module (the unit that connects the volume and temperature *****) went bad. Before spending that kind of money, I wanted to see if I could do it myself. It was a pretty simple install and cheap part (thanks to Aliga), but the same thing happens. So I can only assume Lambs misdiagnosed.
If anyone has had this problem before, what was the outcome? Any advice would help. Thanks in advance.
