well, My GF's parents both have Lex'es, Mom got an 2001 GS300 and Dad got a 1999 LX470. And I was over for my girl friends birhday (the 12th) and we were going into boston. We were getting a late start, and as the LX470, which we all were in, pulls completely out of the garage we all hear a KAAABUUUUMP (crack). Yes. I finished tying my shoe, non-chelauntly as both parents and daughter get out of the car to bemoan the battered Burgundy SC. Oh well... I just had the car completely repainted 6 months ago. The father had hit the Rear driver's side quarter panel, rear bumper, and driver's side tail light. The blinker on that side is now hyper active and paint is chipping away (along with a dent about 12" deep)


Ahhh such is life! Call a minor thing totalled and get an SC300 w/ a turbo? Hmmm Such is dreams!

But in reality, anyone know of a compete aftermarket bumper that looks decent and doesn't make the car look like it has a "two christmas hams stuffed down the back of 'er pants?"

And how much do you guys think this repair is gonna run? 3,4,5 K? W/ a new Paint Job? And will my insurance have to pay any of it? I mean I was parked, and shut off -- he just never saw me. I'm really of paying more $$$ for stuff that doesn't make me go faster! What do you guys think? (I'll post pics when I get a chance!)

Yeah you like them young dont you But, I feel you, spending money on stupid S@%# that does not anything but try to restore the car to stock levels All that money could go into remapping the ECU and making a turbo that will make you cream your pants everytime you open it up

sounds like the same damage that happened to me 3 weeks ago, my rear light, quorter panel, and other things got hit badly on my sc, it ended up being $4500, it really sucks, i should get the car back tomorrow from the dealer
