Come on. Seriously. Street racing or not, that's still deathly fast.

Every single time I have driven to cali, the traffic is averaging 85-95mph. I mean even the big Semi's and RV's are doing 90. You going 75- expect to be passed like you are standing still. Where do you live in Cali where they don't drive 90? Must be close to Oregon or something. So cal is the absolute worst- I hate driving in Cali.

Why would you turbo your car if you are afraid to drive 90mph? Stock can do that.

BTW I usually get 330-350 miles to a tank in the city, the times I have done all highway miles, it was around 450. You must be a long distance commuter. My car is a 92 SC400.

I average 25-27mpg highway with the cruise-control set to 76mph and the a/c on, so I'd say that just means your car is running well. If it were in the 500 range, I'd say you might be running lean, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

1994 SC300
5 Speed
I get only 275-300 to the tank. One time I hit 325, but that was with a lot of highway driving and having the light on for a few miles.

I live in the heart of it. I live in LA. I drive the freeways everyday and have never seen an average of 90 mph. However, there is this one stretch in Orange County, right where the 5 freeway opens up by Disneyland. The avg speed picks up very quickly to an easy 85 mph. However, there are a lot CHP officers sitting around waiting to get somebody. I was on one of those victims for "travelling with the flow of traffic." Other than that stretch of highway, drivers are going a easy 75 avg.

I get ~340-380 per tank in my '97 SC400, mixed driving. Never gotten more than that even on the highway though. All the freeways in the Phoenix area are 75-95mph everyday...

live in L.A. also... i was averaging about 330 miles to my tank, mixed city and highway driving. cruise the freeway at about 75-80 depending on the flow of traffic... though i warm up my car for a couple of minutes like twice a day, in the morning before i go to work and in the evening when i leave work... dont know how much that affects my mpg...

You should check your o2's or something, there's no way your car should get *that* bad of gas mileage when it's pretty much stock w/exhaust.

Keep in mind this was from topped off full to about 2 gallons left the only reason I let the gas get down that low is because I was going to install a walbro fp and the light was on for about 25 of those miles. I bet I could see 500 if I drove 65-70 and ran it to absolute empty.

thats some pretty good gas mileage you got there! haha..have you ever cleaned your engine? is that why your running so well there too? if not, that may help even more..thats what i need to do though. the whole spark plugs, wires, oil change, seafoam, and intake.
