453 miles to the tank? Is this normal?

Yeah I broke 500 one time on one of my many trips between Omaha, NE and Austin, TX. If it's ALL highway, I usually get 450-470miles/tank, but jettin around the city here all I get is 300-325 (Mine's a 5-spd as well).

Careful though, with older engines the gunk inside can be holding seals together, so seafoam can actually cause problems if your engine has been dirty for a while.

i get About 260 on a tank if im lucky and not flooring it. i hate traffic.

Every single time I have driven to cali, the traffic is averaging 85-95mph. I mean even the big Semi's and RV's are doing 90. You going 75- expect to be passed like you are standing still. Where do you live in Cali where they don't drive 90? Must be close to Oregon or something. So cal is the absolute worst- I hate driving in Cali.
Why would you turbo your car if you are afraid to drive 90mph? Stock can do that.
BTW I usually get 330-350 miles to a tank in the city, the times I have done all highway miles, it was around 450. You must be a long distance commuter. My car is a 92 SC400.

If you plan to run seafoam through the pvc or intake manifold, then you shouldn't really worry too much. The problem that people have is when they pour seafoam into the oil crankcase. That can cause oil leaks if your seals are not in ideal conditions. If the seafoam is going straight to the combustion chamber, I can't really think of any oil seal that's in the way.
Otherwise just leave the engine the way it is (run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner) if you're paranoid about damaging something.

You can also put seafoam into the gas tank to help clean the fuel injectors.
One important thing to remember, if you're going to seafoam your car, change your plugs and oil when you're done!

You guys getting 400+ miles, are you using like Super Octane or something. I can't get near that even when it's all highway miles, but I use the lowest octane at the pump. The most I've ever gotten is close to 350 on my 96 SC400 auto
