Default Replace lug studs

On my way home, i hit a big pot hole on I94 in Indiana. About 4 miles later i was getting slight vibration, 5 miles after it felt like my rear driver side wheel was going to fall off. Pulled over checked, 2 lug studs broke off and 1 was loose. I tighten the remaining 3 lugs and drove to a near by pep boys, they told me it would be 3 hours before they can work on my car. I drove home around 60 mph, praying most of the way home.

Pepboys told me 42 for labor and 6 for both lug studs.
Is it easy as they say it is? Anyone have experience with it?

Thanks

this happened to my neighbor, and he had it fixed at the local tire shop as well. cost was about 50 bucks for two broken studs. Hasn't had any problems and the repair job looked pretty good.

its pretty simple to change you will have to take off your wheels then your brake calipers then remove the rotors then knock out the wheel studs....after that is done put a brand new on in and tighten it with a wheel nut... then put everything back together

yeah i did it on an Avalon. the hardest part is putting in the brute force. it's not any harder than replacing the brake pads if it's that hard. lmk if you have any questions

if you can, i would do the APR studs. they are a good amount longer and a lot stronger. performance oriented and it's like 40 or so for a pack of 5 studs. the fronts are easy to swap but the rear is a super pain in the *** since these long ones won't just slip back in like the stock ones.
ud' have to take off the axles i think or drill holes to get them to fit.

but it might be a good options if you are planning to do any performance stuff to your car later.
