Taka, you want to go from 9006 to 9005 by modifying the plugs, not 9005 to 9006.

I have done it. You'll need a dremel to take off tabs in different places. You should go to the philips lighting Forum. There are pictures of step-by-step of how to do it exactly. I use the Osram 9005 Cool Blue lights in my SC 400. There is no problem with glare since, it has a projector lens anyways.

What is the advantage of using hi-beam bulbs in low beams? You can see a little better. That is obvious. However, don't expect miracles Taka. The lighting is more defined and noticeable but, nothing like HID or something as bright as that.

I've done it. 9005 will give you better light, and you won't burn or melt your housing or wiring. I used Philips 9006LL bulbs, not the brightest buy will last longer.

Depending on Wattage. If your will put bulbs higher than 70W you could possibly melt the wiring or the bulb housing.
From my own experience, I know that usually the Plasma. or others, will run hotter than normal bulb.

Default update

I just installed 9005 bulb into low beam. It's GE superblue from walmart. It's not blue at all, it's actually white. I like it so far.
I need to adjust a lil later, too bright.

left-GE superblue 9005
right(driver side)-stock 9006

Default parking light?

I got this Raybrig platina white for parking light(?). $11
Personally, I dont like it, it's too bluish, and useless..

I swapped out my wedge bulbs (aka city lights) with Hiper Industries Super Blue or something like that. Even though the bulb is blue, the actual light appeared to be an almost pure white (when i had my stock bulbs). Now they look slightly yellow since I put in my HID lamps.

have you considered trying the LED replacement for the city lights? they are supposed to have more light and a cleaner color. I'm going to test out the blue and white LED and see if they match up with my headlights.
