Default Help! I have a body question about the "SC"

I am trying to sell my 97 SC400. It has been in a 15MPH hit in the rear. When I told this to a prespective buyer he told me these cars are built very tight and if they are hit in the rear (even if it is light) there is a shift in the body and would require straiting at a body shop.

Is there any truth to this. I have allways loved the car because I thought they were built like tanks. Can someone please clearify.

Thanks for your input!!

built like tanks for safety, anytime your car gets hit and its more than a bender fender, take it to the shop and have it checked.
if your trunk looks like a crushed can, then theres a good chance its bent.
it can be unbent, but it would take a really good shop to get it perfect again.
insurance usually totals the car out on frame damage

Take it to a reputable shop and get an estimate. I doubt it will total since it is a 97. after you have the estimate you could show your prospective buyers so they know exactly what it need. There is a chance that the rear frame rails are bent but we would have to see pictures first. If you post a few pictures we could give you a more precise judgement...
