thanks for the feedback guys.

- The white silicone will be replaced with black, and smoothed out.

- he said that they don't make a white ring in that size, but we both agreed to hold off on this project until we can find one. If anyone wants to help me find one, I won't object

I didn't mean to put down the job, it is very different and original. However, I find that if I paid "professionals" to do the job and received that, I'd be ticked.

Here are some updates guys:

1. The AAC ones that ACleanSC just posted go for about $200! ouch.

2. apparently, 80mm Cold Cathode rings can be found in Computer Case Fans at your local computer store That's the same size as around the projector! Those go for $5-10...all you do is rip 'em out, and they run on 12 volts too.

hmmmmm.....I found some white ones, so I'm gonna go ahead & get the 80mm white cold cathode computer fans and work with this.

Looks GREAT! I really like the clear cover. I'd love to see some night shots with the lights on.

I second that! I have 2 SC projects that are going to be great. One's just about done with another to follow shortly after. It'll be up to the owners of the cars to decide if they'd like their pics shown but I think with these new lenses the SC retrofit has finally hit its true potential! There's more clarity that can finally be shown that was hidden before due to the age and original technology of plastic from 10 years ago

Gunnar, how much do those CCFL rings run and Shaitaan, when do you expect to get these? I'd like to see how they turn out on the car itself

Nice work I wouldn't go all clear but it turned out pretty nice.

TSX projectors huh, does the whole assembly fit within the stock housings?

they've started making those black ebay headlights with real white CCFL halos now (at least that's what some of them are advertising now)...

not that it does you much good to know this now, but perhaps the next person that considers doing something like this might be able to save themselves some trouble
