doing the headliner in the sc is cake. i stripped down a 95 sc300 before and it was pretty easy. and the sunroof assembly is F-ING HEAVY!!!!! no joke. it took my buddy and i to remove it from the car, just because its uncomfortable to maneuver it out of the car on your own. id say its a good 75lb.
i would love to have a hardtop. i could care less for the sunroof.....unless im on the way to driftday on I-294 at 85mph and stand halfway out of it to wave to buddy taping the drive. lol. thats another story though.
oh not to thread hop or anything but i was curious. the car i stripped down belonged to Club Lexus owner. it was a dark blue 95 sc300 auto with beige interior. front end totaled and tokico shocks/eibach springs (now on my car ). anyone know who it belonged to, im kind of curious? i'm from northern Chicago suburbs....my shop was in Gurnee, IL.

who cares what it "technically" is....its extra weight that most people would love to get rid of because our cars weight as much as a small tank. lol.
ive tried to pick up the "hawtees" using the "moonrooff"...didnt work so well. it worked better when i let them in through the door.

I'm curious to see the production numbers of SCs with and without sunroofs. Mine has a sunroof, it adds weight, it whirrs at high speeds and is way too small to give me the illusion of a t-top/convertible, and lastly I quit smoking so it has no use for me. Lets swap roofs
