How many SC300/400 owners can *BUILD* a $50,000.00 car?
Skip buying one. Starting from scratch and building up a full FI car for racing or a blingtastic show piece, how many members are financially able and interested in BUILDING a $50,000 SC300/SC400?
The $10,000-$20,000 stereo,and the Ac kit and Iforged wheels, and the boost, or whatever floats your boat and ends up a clean show piece or a fast and furiously wicked racer with $50,000 invested.

short answer: I can not...short of the project taking 3-5 years.
long answer: In the next 3-5 years, I expect to build ~3 cars that should total ~$30k in costs, and all kick *** in their own right (S/C 5MT SC400, 2JZ Cressida, and 4EF-TE Tercel). I have to build cars that are cheap and easy, extracting value wherever possible, because that is all I can do.

I think I could, but I would be afraid the brakes would fail, or it would blow up. So maybe I can't. WAIT, I wouldn't do it if I could. Yes, that is the answer. Lexus does it so well, why compete. :-)
