Quarter Panel replacment/interchangablility
Last Wednesday i was coming home from college for thanksgiving break when a deer decided to ruin my day. i tried to avoid it, but ended up spinning out and tapping my right rear quarter into a tree. just got the quote today of 4800 dollars to fix it
(ouch!!!!). My parents would be paying, but i want to ease some of the pain and find some used parts to fix it. I know what is required to fix it (welding, bondo, etc.) so no DIY here.
I did find a quarter panel off what looks to be a 92-96 SC and was checking to see if it was compatible with my 97 SC. its about $300 steal and would help a lot if i could use this to shave my bill. any other input is appretiated!

i don't think you can replace a rear quarter panel too easily if at all
if you notice it is connected to your roof and pretty much the whole body of the car. i would assume most of the body parts are interchangeable with at most adding a few key wholes places.
rear quarter panel = costly fix or diy
i would take it to the pros. its a huge PITA!!
good luck

Pretty sure to put on a rear quarter you have to take out the side and rear windows and drill out all the spot welds. Then weld the new one in, body work, paint, then reinstall the glass. It a heck of a job, $4800 sounds on the high side but its hard to find a shop to do it correctly without slapping on a bunch of bondo.
